What is Love?

Our favorite description of love is from the movie Captain Corelli's Mandolin:
"Love is a temporary madness. It erupts like an earthquake and then subsides. And when it subsides you have to make a decision. You have to work out whether your roots have become so entwined together that it is inconceivable that you should ever part. Because this is what love is. Love is not breathlessness, it is not excitement, it is not the promulgation of promises of eternal passion. That is just being "in love" which any of us can convince ourselves we are. Love itself is what is left over when being in love has burned away, and this is both an art and a fortunate accident. Your mother and I had it, we had roots that grew towards each other underground, and when all the pretty blossoms had fallen from our branches we found that we were one tree and not two." Happy Marriage to you.

SKY AND HOPE

                                                                     Sky, it is the unfailing spring of inspiration, hope and enlightenment for millions of people every day. How many times did you look at sky in order to find some hope, and relief for your everyday problems. Many of us are not conscious of the impact of the sky on our everyday lives. If there are clouds in the sky, most of us will feel cloudy, if the Sun is shining and sky is blue and clear, it will amuse us and make us feel better.
Sky is often place where we concentrate our eyes while praying to God, it is place which is synonym for happiness.
However, sky can be sometimes frightening and terrifying like when it rains or during the thunderstorms. But, even while we watch the scariest and the saddest face of the sky, we still can say that it is beautiful. Maybe we, who are able to watch it every day, we are not aware of the fact how it is good to be able just to watch the sky. That is why those who are closed for a long time in dark dungeons often have only one wish, to see the sky one more time.

THE BROKEN POT

                                                                                  Each of us has our own unique flaws.  We're all cracked pots. But it's the cracks and flaws we each have that make our lives together so very interesting and rewarding.  You've just got to take each person for what they are, and look for the good in them. There is a lot of good out there.  There is a lot of good in us! Blessed are the flexible, for they shall not be bent out of shape.  Remember to appreciate all the different people in your life! Or as I like to think of it-if it hadn't been for the crackpots in my life, it would have been pretty boring and not so interesting....

AKWASI WEDS AMA

A wedding is the entrance to a marriage:
One drives through, and suddenly one's there!
Stepping from a fairy tale carriage
Into quite ordinary air.
Life is now a dance, though beautiful,
Requiring intense coordination;
Each self becomes, in ways inscrutable,
More fully what it is in combination.
And we who love you wait, of course, outside
As you become through love that mystery:
One flesh made whole of separate groom and bride;
Two selves, one life; two notes, one harmony.
When you are one, we then may cherish two:
Loving not just one, but both of you
